« At Banque Raiffeisen, we believe that collective intelligence is enriched by the complementarity of female and male talents. Gender equality is more than a value: it is a key driver for diverse and innovative perspectives, strengthening our ability to tackle today’s and tomorrow’s challenges together.»
The Positive Actions Programme
Banque Raiffeisen, a participant in the “Positive Actions” programme and certified in 2015, 2019, and 2024, is committed to gender equality and work-life balance. With a progressive approach, the bank regularly measures and adjusts its initiatives to ensure a lasting impact.
Based on its cooperative solidarity model, Raiffeisen implements concrete initiatives such as remote work, flexible hours, “Quality Time,” and satellite offices that promote a balance between private and professional life. The bank is also dedicated to equal opportunities in recruitment and careers, ensuring balanced gender representation at all hierarchical levels. This is supported by a competency framework for fair recruitment and promotion practices.
These actions aim to foster an inclusive environment and encourage sustainable changes in mindsets.
Who Are We?
With over 700 employees, Raiffeisen is Luxembourg’s only cooperative bank. As a local bank, Raiffeisen has operated for nearly 100 years exclusively in the interest of its clients, remaining true to its cooperative values. Its mission is to offer quality products and services while building strong and lasting relationships with its customers.
Banque Raiffeisen actively integrates ESG (environmental, social, and governance) principles into all its activities. It promotes sustainable practices by encouraging responsible investments, supporting environmentally friendly initiatives, and assisting clients in financing their projects to facilitate their ecological transition.
Other Actions in Place
Since 2020, Banque Raiffeisen has created the role of Happiness Officer to promote equality and well-being at work. This position aims to foster an inclusive and rewarding environment through well-being initiatives, diversity workshops, and gender equality awareness campaigns.
These efforts complement remote work arrangements, flexible hours, and “Quality Time” initiatives, enabling a better balance between professional and personal life. The bank is thus committed to providing a fair and respectful workplace that supports the well-being and growth of all employees.
